Anne Lister Italia è il primo sito italiano dedicato ad Anne Lister, nato per far conoscere la storia di questa incredibile donna nel nostro paese, seguendo gli aggiornamenti e le scoperte più attuali.
Anne Lister Italia è anche e soprattutto un progetto di ricerca, che ci vede impegnate nella ricostruzione di alcuni aspetti e momenti della vita di Anne Lister – specialmente quelli collegati in qualsiasi modo all’Italia – e delle persone che hanno incrociato la sua strada e le sorti dell’Italia.
CHI SIAMO
Copywriter e creativa, ideatrice e curatrice di questo sito. La sua passione per i caratteri complessi l'ha fatta felicemente ed inevitabilmente capitolare al cospetto di Anne Lister. Si divide fra le ricerche storiche su Anne e relative connessioni italiane (e non solo), e lo sviluppo di nuovi progetti per ALI.
Ricercatrice e codebreaker. È curatrice dei progetti di ricerca di ALI e trascrittrice, oltre che dei diari di Anne Lister e di Ann Walker, di tutta la documentazione storica frutto dei nuovi ritrovamenti d’archivio. Le sue trascrizioni di Anne Lister si trovano su @gentlemanjackthelass e su Tumblr.
Graphic e data visualisation designer. È responsabile del design e del progetto grafico di ALI in tutte le sue declinazioni. Ossessionata da dati, diari, Anne Lister, codici, la moda del XIX secolo e regole d’etichetta. Volontaria nel progetto di trascrizione dei diari di Anne Lister promosso dal WYAS.
VOGLIAMO RINGRAZIARE
Tutta la community dei Lister Nerds sparsa nel mondo che, oltre a far vivere Packed With Potential, continua a investigare, scoprire e raccontare Anne e la sua storia al mondo di oggi come qualunque accademia difficilmente riuscirebbe: in special modo Amanda, Alex, Chloe, Kathryn, Janneke, Jenna, Jess, Jude, Marlene, Pauline, Shantel (e lo spirito di Mariana, arriveremo anche lì!), Steph e Succotash.

Australiana trapiantata in Europa, ma continuamente in viaggio. Si auto-definisce un'appassionata dei viaggi di Anne Lister, alla continua ricerca di due grossi polli (se ci seguirete, un giorno forse potrete capire anche questa fine citazione quasi-listeriana). Nel frattempo ha scritto due "In the footsteps of Anne Lister" Vol.1 e Vol.2 due libri sui viaggi di Anne in Europa. La ringraziamo per il supporto, per averci accolti e aiutati a conoscere meglio il mondo di chi fa ricerca su Anne Lister. Fra le tante, sue sono le trascrizioni del viaggio a Venezia e le travelmap.

Unisce un sano pragmatismo tutto U.S.A. al calore e simpatia del Brasile di cui è originaria. E’ una delle anime dietro quasi tutto quello che di interessante succede sul web intorno ad Anne Lister, tre cose su tutte: Packed with Potential, Anne Lister Birthday Week e, ultimo ma non ultimo, Anne Lister Research Summit. La ringraziamo – oltre a tutto quello che abbiamo appena scritto – per l’incoraggiamento che ci ha dato e per le preziosissime informazioni tecniche, e per averci fatti sentire parte della community di Anne Lister mentre costruivamo queste pagine.
Grazie a Helena Whitbread, Jill Liddington, Anne Choma e Sally Wainwright: il poker di donne che ha aperto la strada alla ricerca moderna su Anne Lister.
Vogliamo abbracciare virtualmente anche tutte, ma proprio tutte - anche chi non abbiamo ancora incontrato - le persone che stanno dedicando le loro energie e le loro capacità a far conoscere Anne Lister nel mondo, mettendo a disposizione le loro ore libere, il loro lavoro e la loro professionalità, mani e piedi (sì, anche i piedi, perché Anne Lister camminava tantissimo e per seguire le sue tracce ci vuole tanto allenamento!).
Infine il grazie più grande ad Anne Lister per tutto quello che ha fatto, detto e scritto quasi 200 anni fa. E perché continua ancora oggi a cambiare la vita di chi la incontra!

Lucia Falzari. Editor and copywriter, creator of this site. Her passion for complex personalities saw her necessarily and happily falling for Anne Lister. She's in charge for the ALI new projects, and the researches about Anne Lister's Italian connections (and beyond).
Francesca Raia. Researcher and codebreaker, in charge of the ALI historical research projects. ... Adeline Lim. An Australian in Europe, always on the road. She describes herself as an Anne Lister travel enthusiast, searching for two large chickens. In 2021 she published "In the footsteps of Anne Lister - Travels of a remarkable English gentlewoman in France, Germany and Denmark in 1833" and is still tweeting about Anne Lister (and if you'll follow us maybe someday you'll also be able to understand this half-listerian quote, who knows!). We want to thank her for supporting the idea of this website since the beginning, and for helping us into the world of the Anne Lister researchers.
